We offer a FREE complimentary 15-minute telephone consultation with Dr. Daiter, which you can set up by calling the office at 908-226-0250.
Your private information will be kept private in accordance with all HIPAA requirements. The purpose of this telephone consultation is to allow you to get a feel for how our IVF center is different from other IVF centers in New Jersey.
Initial office consultation with Dr. Daiter: $200 (two hundred dollars) plus $200/hour after initial hour with Dr. Daiter
We require an initial office consultation which will allow Dr. Daiter to (1) assess whether you are an appropriate patient for mini IVF or modified natural cycle IVF; (2) explain some of the relevant differences between the available protocols at our IVF center; (3) discuss the testing that absolutely must be completed (and testing that we suggest is also completed) prior to initiating a cycle of IVF; (4) inform you of the testing and treatment that is required during your IVF cycle to monitor your progress; (5) review the financial requirements such as payment; and (6) answer your questions.
We have the expertise and the desire to answer all of your fertility and IVF questions. If we cannot answer all of your questions at the initial hour consultation with Dr. Daiter, then we will try to provide you with additional time with the doctor immediately (as long as time permits in our schedule) or we will schedule another appointment for you so that you can ask and discuss any remaining questions and/or concerns.
This initial office consultation should be able to be completed within one hour. If additional time is needed then Dr. Daiter’s consultations are billed out at $200 (two-hundred dollars) an hour in 15-minute increments.
Required Tests to be completed prior to initiating an IVF cycle: usually about $2,000 (two-thousand dollars) *Note: many of these tests can be performed using your medical insurance, even if you do not have coverage for IVF.
Once we have determined that you are an appropriate candidate for IVF and you have selected the IVF protocol that you desire, with Dr. Daiter’s guidance, then you will need to complete the “required testing” prior to initiation of the IVF cycle. This testing must be completed within one year, and in some instances, within a few months of the IVF cycle.
Required testing for the female patient includes: HIV, Hepatitis B Surface Antigen, Hepatitis C antibody, RPR, pap smear with GC and Chlamydia, Blood group & Rh & antibody screen, CBC with Differential, CMP, TSH, Prolactin, Rubella IgG titers, Chest Xray, EKG. In addition, testing of ovarian egg reserve (price varies) and testing of the uterine cavity for anatomic abnormalities (hysterosalpingogram- price varies but currently $620 at our office or sonohysterogram- price varies but currently $450 at our office) is required.
Required testing for the male patient, along with approximate cost for testing for self pay patients at LabCorp as of September 2016 (using our account number), includes: HIV, Hepatitis B Surface Antigen, Hepatitis C antibody, RPR, complex semen analysis (price varies, $100 at our office)
Additional strongly recommended prenatal testing encouraged by both SART and our office includes: Varicella titers, cystic fibrosis carrier screen, genetic testing specific to certain backgrounds (such as patients of Jewish Eastern European Origin, Canadian and Cajun Origin, Mediterranean + African + African American + Asian Origin, Family History of mental retardation) – prices vary.
This cost of IVF Pre-treatment Evaluation through our office is significantly lower than the cost of testing described at many other facilities. For a rough comparison to a different center, use this

We require an IVF talk with Dr. Daiter, which will allow Dr. Daiter to (1) discuss your lab and test results (those required prior to initiating an IVF cycle at our office); (2) review in detail the risks, benefits and alternatives of the specific mild IVF protocol that is selected for you at the initial office visit; (3) explain the mild IVF protocol in detail, including the testing that is required to monitor your progress and the procedures that are needed to retrieve your eggs, freeze embryos (if selected), and transfer your embryos; and (4) answer your questions. IVF Talk with Dr. Daiter: $200 (two hundred dollars) plus $200/hour after initial hour in 15-minute time increments.
Ultra Mild and Mild IVF Protocols
Mild IVF Protocols: $6,000 for all but medication if the fresh cycle is completed (that is, you have a fresh embryo transfer procedure); $8,000 for all but medication if all of the embryos are frozen (that is, you do not have a fresh embryo transfer) and you return for & complete one frozen embryo transfer cycle within 9 months of the egg retrieval; $3,000 for additional frozen embryo transfer cycles when there are supernumerary frozen embryos collected from one of your mild IVF cycles at our IVF center; medication costs vary by protocol (very roughly a few hundred dollars for modified natural cycle protocols, $500 for ultra mild protocols, $1,500 for mild ivf protocols); and we do provide a partial refund to patients that cannot complete their IVF cycle (details here).
Our ultra mild and mild IVF protocols have an option for (1) a fresh embryo transfer of the fertilized eggs (embryos) or (2) freezing all of the fertilized eggs (when the embryos are of high enough quality) and returning for a frozen embryo transfer cycle. The freeze all ultra mild and mild IVF cycles are thought to have higher success rates compared to the fresh transfer ultra mild and mild IVF cycles because there is a very high rate of embryo survival if vitrification is used for cryopreservation (freezing) and the uterine lining can be somewhat less receptive for embryo implantation when recently exposed to Clomiphene Citrate (as is the case with fresh embryo transfer ultra mild and mild IVF cycles). These options are discussed in detail at your IVF talk.
Services included in our price for the fresh embryo transfer IVF cycle are: (1) the ultrasound examinations and hormonal blood work that we suggest to monitor your egg development and determine when to trigger ovulation for egg retrieval (this testing must be performed at our facilities to be included in this discounted price); (2) anesthesia for the egg retrieval procedure; (3) the egg retrieval procedure; (4) the embryology laboratory services including ICSI (assisted fertilization procedure), assisted hatching (when suggested by the embryologists), and embryo culture until the fresh embryo transfer; (5) cryopreservation by vitrification (freezing) of any supernumerary blastocyst embryos that are not transferred during the fresh cycle; (6) the fresh embryo transfer procedure; and (7) the ultrasound examinations and hormonal blood work that we suggest to monitor your pregnancy up until a fetal heart beat is normally seen (6-7 weeks estimated gestational age, which is 4-5 weeks following the egg retrieval procedure).
Services included in our price for the freeze-all frozen embryo transfer ultra mild and mild IVF cycle are: (1) the ultrasound examinations and hormonal blood work that we suggest to monitor your egg development and determine when to trigger ovulation for egg retrieval (this testing must be performed at our facilities to be included in this discounted price); (2) anesthesia for the egg retrieval procedure; (3) the egg retrieval procedure; (4) the embryology laboratory services including ICSI (assisted fertilization procedure) if performed and embryo culture until the embryos are at blastocyst stage; (5) cryopreservation by vitrification (freezing) of any blastocyst embryos; (6) frozen embryo transfer cycle monitoring including the ultrasound examinations and hormonal blood work that we suggest to monitor the preparation of your uterine lining for receptivity to embryo implantation; (7) all embryology procedures (including thawing of the embryos and assisted hatching when suggested by the embryologists) required to prepare your frozen embryos for transfer; (8) the frozen embryo transfer procedure; and (9) the ultrasound examinations and hormonal blood work that we suggest to monitor your pregnancy up until a fetal heart beat is normally seen (6-7 weeks estimated gestational age, which is roughly 3-4 weeks following the frozen embryo transfer procedure).
You will receive a list of the medications used for your selected protocol and you can price out the cost of medication at your local pharmacy and at the fertility pharmacies that we can suggest. Some IVF medications may be covered by your insurance plan.
The cost of the IVF medication in conventional IVF cycles can be as high as the cost of the IVF procedures. Each woman responds to the medication differently, and many women spend 5,000 to 8,000 dollars on medication alone when undergoing conventional IVF. The cost of medication for mild IVF (mini IVF and natural cycle IVF) is generally much less expensive when compared to conventional IVF, and usually ranges from a few hundred dollars to a few thousand dollars. These costs are usually not included in the bundled “cost of IVF.”
You should ask if the IVF center that you are considering has a refund policy in the event that you pay for a “package of procedures” often labeled as the “cost of IVF” and you are unable (for whatever reason) to complete the entire set of procedures. Our Central New Jersey Mild IVF Center has outlined our own Refund Policies, which can serve as an example of what you can look for from another N.J. IVF Center.
