As a full time attending Anesthesiologist for the past five years, I have had many opportunities to work with and observe Dr. Daiter closely. Having done three years of general surgical residency program prior to going into anesthesia, I have a great understanding and appreciation of different surgical techniques and skills. From watching Dr. Daiter, I can say with confidence that Dr. Daiter's surgical skill is among one of the best. He can develop a surgical plan with ease, and be able to remove the most difficult lesion in the least amount of time with very minimal bleeding. I trust and respect his clinical astuteness and judgment as well because not only does he have a vast knowledge of most diseases and disease processes beyond those of OB/GYN, but his approach to them is methodical and logical.
On a personal level, I find Dr. Daiter to be extremely honest, genuinely pleasant and supremely caring. To him it does not matter whether one is a fellow surgeon, a nurse or an anesthesiologist, Dr. Daiter treats all in a very collegial manner, and he always is willing to lend a hand wherever and whenever it is needed. Having surgery and undergoing general anesthesia brings an intense level of apprehension for the patient. Dr. Daiter understands this very well, so he is always there holding a patient's hands, tucking them in with a warm blanket, and providing them with comforting smiles and words to put them to ease. The calm that he brought upon his patients is more profound than any tranquilizers could achieve. Dr. Daiter, therefore, has earned a lot of respect from his colleagues and patients alike.
